Weekly Music Discovery (3)

Hello fellow music lovers! Time to share my WMD!

1. Lero Lero by Luisa Maita

During the beginning of the week, my Dad found one of his best friends on Facebook. They haven't talked to each other in quite some time and it turns out that he is currently living in Brazil. While they were chatting with each other, he sent my Dad a link to this video. My Dad has an eccentric taste in music (like myself). One of the main genre's that my Dad is quite fond of is Brazilian music (which is why his best friend sent him the link to this video). My Dad clicked on the link and started watching the video. I was walking by his computer at that moment but then I stopped as soon as the song began. I stayed watching the video with my Dad.

Lero Lero is such a catchy and mellow song!

Although I don't necessarily understand the lyrics because they are in Portuguese, I do love the song! Another cool thing about this song, is that you can download it for free (and yes- it's legal!) on Last-FM!

2. Dreamcatcher by Blue Stone

I love music that has an ambient or meditative feel to it. Enya would have to be one of the top Artist's that many people know about within this genre. I'm really happy to have discovered Blue Stone because their music combines electronic with ambiance! Awesome mix of genre's if you ask me!

Lyrics:

With the sleep in your eyes, day break is in sight slowly
With hope in your heart, step from the ledge slowly
Souls collected like dreams, silently scream slowly
I've been to places never seen
But never crossed your mind until now
And I've seen the shadows on the ground
I catch your secrets lost but never found
You can always feel your way
Close your eyes and drift away
I will show you all through dreams
Grab your weary hearts and follow me
This could be the chance you walk right past slowly
Your fear, it lurks deep inside. Come find me slowly
This dream we will share. Drift off to sleep slowly
Take flight in your mind. Lifting you up slowly

3. When It Was Me by Paula DeAnda

Remember when I listed "Remember The Name" by Fort Minor as one of my WMD picks? And I talked about how the only song I knew from Fort Minor was "Where'd You Go?". Well, this is the same case with Paula DeAnda. The only song that I heard from her was "Walk Away" and I never got into the song, despite how popular it was at the time. Out of the blue, I found myself remembering the song and I decided to listen to it on Youtube and see if maybe I would like it now. It turned out I still didn't like the song BUT I did discover a song that I do like from her! And it's this one :)

Lyrics:

She's got green eyes and she's 5'5"
Long brown hair all down her back
Cadilliac truck
So the hell what
What's so special about that
She used to model, she's done some acting
So she weighs buck of 5
So I guess she's alright if perfection is what you like

Ooh, ooh, and I'm not jealous, no I'm not
Ooh, ooh, I just want everything she's got
Ooh, ooh, you look at her so amazed
I remember way back when you used to look at me that way

Tell me what makes her so much better than me (so much better than me)
What makes her just everything that I can never be
What makes her your every dream and fantasy
Because I can't remember when it was me

And now you don't feel the same
I remember you would shiver everytime I said your name
You said nothing felt as good as when you gaze into my eyes
Now you don't care I'm alive
How did we let the fire die

Ooh, ooh, and I'm not jealous, no I'm not
Ooh, ooh, I just want everything she's got
Ooh, ooh, you look at her so amazed
I remember way back when you used to look at me that way

What makes her so much better than me (so much better than me)
What makes her just everything that I can never be
What makes her your every dream and fantasy
Because I can't remember when it was me

That made you smile
That made you laugh
Even if it makes you happier than you have ever been, oh me
That was your world (me)
Your kind of girl
Nothing about me has changed
That's why I'm here wondering

What makes her so much better than me (what makes her so much better than me)
What makes her just everything that I can never be
What makes her your every dream and fantasy
Because I can't remember when it was me

What makes her so much better than me (what makes her so much better than me)
What makes her just everything that I can never be
What makes her your every dream and fantasy
Because I can't remember when it was me

When it was me
When it was me
When it was me

Hope you guys like this week's WMD picks! :)
